Rep. Carolyn Laine and Sen. Barb Goodwin held a Listening Session on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at the Mississippi branch library in Fridley.

Our Listening Session was a wonderful opportunity to have a real conversation with nearly 40 constituents. We discussed such issues as the Vikings stadium, photo ID, tax fairness, and divisive politics. I think the participants enjoyed as much as I did the give-and-take with diverse opinions fleshing out the areas of interest. Thanks to all who came! Others who could not be there have written me emails or called on the phone. I always welcome your input.

I had my survey available at the Listening Session, and it will soon be out electronically. Watch for it; it's another way you can communicate your opinions to me.
